Erin Andrews took the opportunity to press Fox Sports colleague Tom Brady on what he thought about longtime coach Bill Belichick's controversial relationship with Jordon Hudson.
Exactly what Brady said remains a bit of a mystery, however.
Andrews is pulling guest hosting duties on "TODAY with Jenna & Friends," and on May 12 brought up the legendary NFL coach's relationship with the woman who is 49 years his junior.
In talking about a beauty pageant she watched featuring Hudson, Andrews mentioned that she has asked Brady what he thinks about Belichick's May-December romance.
“[Belichick] was front row [at the pageant], which I gotta say, people have asked a lot and I work with Tom Brady — so I’ve been asking him a lot, ‘What do you think about this?” Andrews said. “Because he knows coach as a coach and I know coach from being on the sidelines."
But before Andrews could reveal Brady's answer, she delved into her professional relationship with Belichick and anxiety around interviewing him.
“Look, Bill Belichick is royalty, legend. He’s it, he is the Mount Rushmore," Andrews said. "I know how he is on the field. He’s very matter of fact, you get two seconds to talk to him. I am full blown stomach cramps when I get ready to talk to him because I don’t want to mess up. And I kind of get excited and I start talking too much.”
Andrews never did say whether Brady had an opinion on Belichick's relationship with Hudson, and it remains unclear whether the two have even discussed it. In an edition of his "199" newsletter, Brady said there was some natural tension with Belichick leading to his departure from the New England Patriots in 2020.
