Erin Andrews regrets 'amateur' response to infamous Richard Sherman interview

Fox Sports media star Erin Andrews wishes she could have a redo of her infamous interview with Richard Sherman.

"I wish I hadn’t had that look on my face… I wish I hadn’t looked like such an amateur," Andrews said about the moment during her appearance on the latest "Marchand and Ourand Sports Media Podcast," per Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post. "Because I knew it was so cool and I’m such a sports fan and I was like 'holy s--- my follow-up better be good because this is going to be everywhere.' I turned into a 5-year-old, I just turned into a superfan in that moment."

Andrews was referencing how she spoke with Sherman shortly after the then-Seattle Seahawks cornerback made the contest-deciding defensive play to clinch a win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game held in January 2014.

Instead of celebrating the achievement, Sherman blasted then-49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree via comments that went viral and left Andrews somewhat speechless.

Following the game, Keith Ackers noted for Business Insider that some criticized Sherman for being "disrespectful" toward both Crabtree and Andrews. Sherman later admitted he wished he would've handled things differently that fateful day.

"I probably shouldn't have attacked another person," Sherman told Rachel Nichols for CNN's "Unguarded" (h/t Lateef Mungin and Steve Almasy) in January 2014. "You know, I don't mean to attack him. And that was immature and I probably shouldn't have done that. I regret doing that."

Sherman and Andrews are now forever linked with each other for better or for worse.
