ESPN analyst Louis Riddick to interview for Steelers GM job
ESPN analyst Louis Riddick Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are searching for a new general manager with longtime executive Kevin Colbert getting set to retire, and Louis Riddick is once again in the mix.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Riddick is scheduled to interview with the Steelers.

Riddick has been an analyst in ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” booth for the past two seasons. He last worked in an NFL front office as the director of pro personnel with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Riddick began with the Eagles as a scout in 2008 and was with the team until 2013. He worked in Washington’s front office prior to that.

While he is likely content with his current ESPN gig, Riddick has interviewed for a number of GM jobs in recent years. The 52-year-old was linked to at least four teams a year ago.

Colbert has been the GM in Pittsburgh since 2000. He recently announced he will retire, though he is planning to remain with the team through the draft.
