On Friday, ESPN addressed Aaron Rodgers’ comments about Jimmy Kimmel, calling the remarks “dumb.”
Rodgers on Tuesday joined “The Pat McAee Show” for his weekly appearance. Rodgers was asked at the time about the impending reveal of the Jeffrey Epstein list. Rodgers perked up about the list being released and joked that Kimmel better be careful.
Kimmel didn’t find the mention of his name to be too funny. The late-night ABC TV host responded via X by threatening legal action against Rodgers.
On Friday, ESPN spokesman Mike Foss addressed Rodgers’ comments.
“Aaron made a dumb and factually inaccurate joke about Jimmy Kimmel. It should never have happened. We all realized that in the moment,” Foss said.

Despite the controversy Rodgers caused with his comments, Foss said that the quarterback is still expected to appear on McAfee’s show next week for his usual appearance.
The comments from ESPN about Rodgers come the same day that McAfee accused an ESPN executive of sabotaging his program.
ESPN is getting no shortage of headlines thanks to McAfee’s show.
