Travis Kelce was pretty much a non-factor in Sunday's Super Bowl 59 matchup — outside of his massive drop early in the game.
After coming up big for his team time and time again over the course of his future Hall of Fame career, the Chiefs tight end just didn't seem like himself.
And ESPN's Booger McFarland thinks it might've served as a scary look into Kansas City's future once the 35-year-old decides to hang them up.
"I called Travis Kelce the best tight end in football for a long time," McFarland said on "NFL Primetime."
"He's no longer that," Booger admitted. "He played the worst game I've ever seen him play tonight. If you go back and watch the tape, Travis Kelce was a non-factor. Father time is undefeated, Boom [Chris Berman]."
Kelce finished SB LIX with four catches for 39 yards — all of which came in garbage time when the result as already all but determined.
Travis didn't stick around too long after the game either, cutting his media availability short as questions about whether or not he comes back next year continue to mount outside of the Caesars Superdome.
"Where will I be in three years? I don't know. Hopefully, still playing football," Kelce said in the lead-up to Sunday's big game. "I love doing this. I love coming into work every day. I feel like I've still got a lot of good football left in me. We'll see what happens."
Clearly Kelce is closer to the end of his career than the beginning. But it's hard to imagine Travis wanting this to be his lasting memory before it's all said and done.
