Ever since the Super Bowl LIX showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles was set, winner predictions from experts and former players have abounded.
The likes of NFL icon Eli Manning, former coach Jon Gruden and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson have all picked the Chiefs to win, while college football star Shedeur Sanders and ESPN's own matchup predictor gave the Eagles the edge over the reigning Super Bowl champs.
More experts have since chimed in, with NFL analyst Mina Kimes among those sharing their prediction for Super Bowl LIX.
In a Super Bowl prediction article released by ESPN, Kimes also picked the Chiefs to win with a final score of 30-27.
While no explanation was provided for the picks, ESPN did note that a majority of their reporters and analysts backed the Chiefs to claim victory over the Eagles in what many anticipate to be an intense affair.
"Of the 67 experts who weighed in, the Chiefs were favored by 41 of them (61.2%), while the Eagles claimed 26 votes (38.8%)," the ESPN report explained.
"The most common score predictions were 27-24 (picked by 10 of our experts), 27-23 (five) and 31-28 (five). The lowest combined total was 31 (17-14); the highest was 73 (38-35). The largest margin of victory predicted was 14 points (38-24). And 63 experts said this game will be decided by a touchdown or less."
It remains to be seen if Mina Kimes' winner and exact score prediction will come true. Regardless, though, it sure feels like fans are in for a treat with the Chiefs-Eagles showdown.
