ESPN suggests Ravens sign rival OL to cap off productive 2025 offseason

Baltimore Ravens fans are used to seeing the team do good things in the offseason and this year was no exception. Not only did the Ravens make sure that Lamar Jackson had weapons at his disposal but they also ensured that the offensive line in front of him was equipped to protect him.

While the Ravens lost Patrick Mekari and Josh Jones, they extended Ronnie Stanley and managed to keep Ben Cleveland around as well. Bill Barnwell of ESPN argued recently that Baltimore shouldn't be done adding to its o-line, giving them the superlative of the most likely team to sign a free agent after June 1st.

"So, whom will the Ravens target? Though they added much-needed help for their offensive line in the draft, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them look for some veteran interior help, with former Cardinals guard Will Hernandez the best remaining option. They have also been happy to take on reclamation projects in the past, and there's an obvious one available: former offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., who wore out his welcome with the Browns after being a top-10 pick in 2020."

Jedrick Wills Jr. could make a lot of sense for Ravens as free agent target

While Barnwell threw out Will Hernandez's name here, it's Jedrick Wills Jr.'s name that probably stands out more to Ravens fans here. The 10th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2020, Wills started off as a solid left tackle for Baltimore's rival, starting double-digit games in each of his first three seasons.

Unfortunately for Wills, he battled injuries over the past two years and started just 12 games total for the Browns during that time. While Wills might have some work to do as far as getting back to his starting form, he'd offer a solid backup for whichever team brought him in, and who better to add him than the Ravens?

Not only would they have an excellent insurance option should Stanley have to miss time but they could stick it to the Browns while doing so. Joe Noteboom is also on the roster so the Ravens would really be ripe with depth if Wills was brought in.

This very much screams the sort of move that Baltimore would make and it'd make a lot of sense if the Ravens tried to pull this off.
