With the first three weeks of the 2025 NFL season in the books, ESPN's Football Power Index has updated its matchup for Super Bowl LX.
Although it's early in the season, the Buffalo Bills are the overwhelming favorites to win the AFC. Josh Allen has been outstanding so far, completing 69.7% of his passes for 755 yards with five touchdowns. The reigning MVP of the league also has two rushing touchdowns in three games.
"Being mentioned for MVP means your team is doing really well, probably in the hunt for the playoffs, and you're doing your job," Allen said before Week 1. "It doesn't change my life to have that accolade or to have more of those accolades. The only thing that I'm worried about is doing everything I can to bring a Lombardi Trophy here."
As of this week, ESPN's FPI gives the Bills a 27% chance of making the Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens have the second-best odds in the AFC.
ESPN's FPI is currently giving the Detroit Lions a 21.7% chance of winning the NFC. The franchise has never been to the Super Bowl.
The Lions flexed their muscles in Week 3, racking up 426 total yards in a 38-30 win over the Ravens. Veteran running back David Montgomery was excellent against Baltimore, rushing for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
If the Bills and Lions meet in Super Bowl LX, that would guarantee a new champion.
That being said, there's so much football left this season. While it's possible we'll get a Bills-Lions matchup, the playoff picture could look way different in a month from now.
