The San Francisco 49ers continue to re-tool their roster.
This time, it was running back Jordan Mason who was dealt, and it was the Minnesota Vikings who were the recipients. The two teams swapped late-round picks with San Fran moving up from No. 187 overall to No. 160.
Along with the change of address, Mason got a new deal in Minnesota too.
Mason was just tendered by the 49ers with a $5.346 million 2025 salary as a restricted free agent. Now, with the Vikings, he gets a two-year, $10.5 million contract with over $7 million fully guaranteed to back up Aaron Jones.
The full breakdown of Mason's deal is as follows per Pro Football Talk:
Incentives also exist for Mason for both seasons of the deal. He'll get an additional $200,000 for 800 rushing yards, $350,000 for 900 rushing yards, or $500,000 for 1,000 rushing yards.
