Jim Everett takes shot at Eric Dickerson over SB LVI comments
Former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jim Everett Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

One former Los Angeles Rams star is not sweating his Super Bowl seating arrangement and clearly thinks it’s silly that Eric Dickerson is.

Jim Everett, who quarterbacked the Rams from 1986 to 1993, tweeted Saturday that he was looking forward to attending the Super Bowl on Sunday. He also sent a clear message to Dickerson by saying he did not care about where his seats were, “unlike other legends.”

Dickerson had said earlier in the week that he was not planning to attend the Super Bowl, citing dissatisfaction with his seats. Everett evidently got a similar setup from the Rams, but is not bothered by it.

Who knew that Rams legends trading shots in the media would be a side plot to the Super Bowl itself? Everett may be looking to score some brownie points with fans by making a statement like this. He could also look petty, depending on your point of view. Whatever the case, he’ll be in the building, which is all he cares about. That’s perhaps not a surprise, as unlike Dickerson, he tends to be an unwavering supporter of the team.
