Former Pittsburgh Steelers corner Darius Rush wasn't a Steeler very long. The former South Carolina Gamecock spent just parts of two seasons with the club and appeared in five games.

In 2025, he'll have a new home.

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Rush to a reserve/futures contract. Rush initially signed to the Chiefs practice squad on Oct. 4, 2024, after being cut by the Steelers just three days before on Oct. 1.

The 24-year-old didn't appear in a game for the Chiefs. Rush was a wideout in college before transitioning to the secondary as a freshman in 2019. In the SEC, Rush totaled 74 tackles and 15 passes defended with three interceptions across 43 games.

The Indianapolis Colts selected Rush in the fifth round at No. 138 overall in 2023 but he was cut before the regular season began.

The Steelers signed Rush from the Cheifs' practice squad in Oct. of 2023 and he played 59 snaps that season and made three tackles.

Rush then played all three preseason games for Pittsburgh in 2024 and made the initial 53-man roster out of camp but was cut two weeks into the regular season.
