Ex-Tampa Bay QB Shaun King wants Bucs to coax Tom Brady out of retiring

A former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback refuses to accept that Tom Brady has played his last snap for the organization.

Shaun King, who played quarterback for the Buccaneers from 1999 to 2003, wants to see the city of Tampa campaign for Brady’s return. King added that he genuinely believes Brady will reconsider his retirement at some point due to his competitive nature.

“I don’t take no easily. I’m not giving up,” King told WDAE radio, via Joe Bucs Fan. “I feel like we gotta get together with the City of Tampa. We gotta come up with a One More Time campaign for Brady.”

King’s hopes are unlikely to come true. All indications are that Brady would not want a retirement tour, and if he came back for one year, that is essentially what his season would become. Nevertheless, King is not the only one who thinks Brady might eventually be tempted to come back. For now, though, the decision looks pretty final.
