Tom Brady has been in the spotlight plenty lately—whether it’s his appearance at Las Vegas Raiders training camp or the grand opening of his new card shop in Chicago, just outside Wrigley Field. But on Sunday, he officially turned 48 years old and is set to kick off another major week.
According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, it was revealed Sunday that Brady’s long-anticipated tribute outside Gillette Stadium will be unveiled this Friday—just before the Patriots’ preseason opener against the Washington Commanders.
Originally, the plan was to unveil it during the 2024 regular season ahead of New England’s Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, which Brady was expected to call for FOX Sports.
However, after the Patriots started to struggle and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered an early-season injury, FOX dropped that game from its broadcast lineup and reassigned Brady to a different matchup.

Now, with Brady set to return to Foxborough, the Patriots legend will once again be honored for the historic success he brought to New England throughout his Hall of Fame career.
After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft, few believed Brady would ever get a real opportunity. But when it finally came, he never looked back—earning the trust of head coach Bill Belichick and never giving him a reason to take him out again.
Brady went on to win six Super Bowls with the Patriots {1 with the Buccaneers), was a five-time Super Bowl MVP, 15-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, and three-time league MVP—cementing his place as the cornerstone of one of the greatest dynasties in modern sports history.
