We are now three months removed from the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and tight end Travis Kelce has kept busy during the offseason.
A few weeks after the failed Super Bowl three-peat attempt, Kelce announced that he would be returning to the Chiefs for his 13th season. Since his decision, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star has been "training like crazy," according to Kansas City head coach Andy Reid.
"I always like guys to step back (after the season), but he wants to come back and he’s training like crazy, too," Reid said.
Kelce has also worked out with some Atlanta-based high school players, who are coached by NFL legend Ed Reed. Along with practice in Georgia, it was revealed on Tuesday that Kelce will be returning to Nashville, Tennessee, for his annual Tight End University (TEU) from June 23-26.
Kelce founded TEU back in 2021 alongside San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and former Carolina Panthers star Greg Olsen. It is held each year at the University of Vanderbilt.
Through the three-day program, tight ends across the nation will "collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation, and more."
Some notable attendees of TEU in the past include Lions' Sam LaPorta, Jaguars' Evan Engram, and Cowboys' Jake Ferguson. Even tight end legends like Dallas Clark have come in to share their knowledge. A few quarterbacks, including Dak Prescott, help out as well.
TEU announced that Kelce is confirmed to attend in the Summer of 2025 on Instagram.
"We are sooooooo back," TEU wrote on Instagram.
Despite making his 10th-straight Pro Bowl during the 2024 NFL season, Kelce had a relatively down year by his standards. He finished with 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns, his worst output since 2015.
