Falcons Announce Drake London News Before Dolphins Game

The Atlanta Falcons are currently preparing for their upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Atlanta is looking to bounce back after a frustrating 20-10 loss against the San Francisco 49ers that dropped their record to 3-3 on the 2025 NFL season.

On Saturday, the team got an update that quarterback Michael Penix Jr. would likely miss the Dolphins game due to the bone bruise he suffered late in the 49ers game, opening the door for Kirk Cousins, who was benched toward the end of last year, to make his first start of the season, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Later Saturday, the Falcons' injury report got a concerning addition, once again on the offensive side of the ball.

"The #Falcons have added WR Drake London to the injury report. He’s now questionable for tomorrow’s game," reported Marc Raimondi of ESPN on X.

London is currently dealing with a hip injury, per the injury report.

Atlanta cannot afford to lose much more receiver depth after recently releasing Ray-Ray McCloud III, who had been a healthy scratch for the past two games and was sent home from practice last week for reasons unknown. The Falcons will have Darnell Mooney, who has dealt with various injury concerns and missed time this season, in uniform for the Dolphins matchup.

Overall, the Falcons could use a get-right game after a frustrating loss to the 49ers in which the team squandered several opportunities to put points on the board, including an intentional grounding penalty that allowed the clock to run out at the end of the first half, as well as a failed 4th-and-1 try late in the fourth quarter deep in San Francisco territory.

If the Falcons were to drop a game against the Dolphins, who have just one win this season and were most recently blown out by the lowly Cleveland Browns, the calls from the fanbase for the organization to shake things up could grow even louder.

The Falcons and Dolphins are set to kick off at 1 p.m. ET from Atlanta. The game will air in most of the southeast U.S. on CBS.
