Falcons open Week 13 as 1.5-point home favorites against Steelers
Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The feisty Falcons came out red hot this season. Sure, they weren’t winning all of their games, but they were covering. Atlanta cost Vegas millions as the club covered six straight games to begin the season. Well, as always, the house wins. In the Falcons’ last six games, the team is 1-5 ATS. And they’re 1.5-point favorites in their Week 13 tilt against the Steelers.

Spread Total Moneyline
Falcons -1.5 (-115) O42.5(-114) -108
Steelers +1.5 (-105) U42.5(-106) +108

The Steelers are coming off a road win over Matt Ryan and the Colts on Monday Night Football, marking the team’s second win in three weeks. More impressively, Pittsburgh is red hot against the spread, boasting a 4-2 record in their last six games. If there’s one thing that Mike Tomlin is known for, it’s his team’s competitiveness. The man has never had a losing season. The Falcons won’t have an easy task this week.

Atlanta had a chance to score a game-tying touchdown in the final minute against Washington, but a Marcus Mariota tipped pass inside the five-yard line inevitably resulted in a Commanders’ victory. The Falcons have remained competitive in most games this season, so I’d be shocked if things were any different this week.

Usually, I’m pretty confident one way or the other, but this one is tricky. The Steelers passing offense actually looked decent against the Colts, and the Falcons is the worst pass defense in the league. There’s a chance Kenny Pickett has one of his best games as a pro this week, but as we’ve seen, the Falcons aren’t going to roll over so easily. The run game is proven, especially after totaling 167 yards on the ground against one of the best run defenses in football in the Commanders. So, it would be over 42.5 points if I had to offer advice because life is too short to take the under.
