The Atlanta Falcons are off to a 1-1 start in the 2025 NFL season. In Week 1, they suffered a close 23-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a game that slipped away after a missed late field goal. In Week 2, Atlanta bounced back with a dominant ground game and stout defense to beat the Minnesota Vikings 22-6 in Minneapolis.
As they prepare now for their Week 3 matchup against the 0-2 Carolina Panthers, fans have been watching the team’s on-field improvements closely. Off the field, meanwhile, owner Arthur Blank has surfaced in headlines once more for a major financial move.
Blank, who bought the Falcons in 2002 for $545 million, has long been recognized as one of the NFL’s most stable and respected owners. Under his leadership, the franchise reached Super Bowl LI and moved into the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
On Saturday, however, Blank made got media attention for a personal life decision. Blank listed his 295-foot yacht for $200 million, having recently purchased a larger 364-foot model named “Dreamboat” (h/t Joe Pompliano).

His newest vessel carries the letters “AMB” — a nod to Blank’s holding company, AMB Group, which oversees the Falcons, MLS club Atlanta United, and the stadium.
Blank’s fortune originates from co-founding The Home Depot, which established him as a billionaire entrepreneur. Beyond sports, he is also well known for his philanthropic efforts across Georgia.
The Falcons, meanwhile, have skyrocketed in value since his purchase. From the half a billion price he got the franchise for in 2002, the team is now reportedly worth $6.35 billion in 2025, according to Forbes, placing them among the most valuable franchises in the league.
As for Blank’s net worth, Forbes estimates it at $11.6 billion, making him the 247th richest man in the world as of this writing.
Meanwhile, the Falcons will hope to build on their impressive performance against the Vikings when they visit the Panthers on Sunday. After two games, they sit second in the NFC South, behind the Buccaneers.
Second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was impressive in Week 1’s loss, throwing for 298 yards and one touchdown. Although his stats regressed in Week 2, the Falcons were dominant on the ground, securing a much-needed blowout win.
