Falcons hire another Rams coach
Los Angeles Rams passing-game coordinator Zac Robinson Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons have found their next offensive coordinator.

The Falcons are hiring Rams’ pass-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson to serve as the OC under newly installed head coach Raheem Morris, according to NFL Networks’ Ian Rapoport. Robinson’s deal is reportedly a three-year contract.

Robinson was widely considered as one of the top candidates to land an offensive-coordinating job this season.

Morris on Thursday was announced as the Falcons’ next head coach, much to the chagrin of a former New England Patriots coach . The former Rams defensive coordinator spent three years together with Robinson on Sean McVay's staff, where they were able to form a close personal relationship. Morris reportedly had Robinson’s name listed on his staff list during head-coaching interviews.

Robinson will inherit a Falcons offense with much less certainty at quarterback position than the Rams, who have had veteran Matthew Stafford for the last three seasons. Falcons QB Desmond Ridder, who had the same number of interceptions (12) as touchdowns (12), largely struggled in his first year as Atlanta’s full-time starter.

But the Falcons do have several intriguing offensive pieces in running back Bijan Robinson, tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London.
