Falcons quarterbacks coach hired by the Commanders

According to Adam Schefter, Falcons quarterbacks coach D.J. Williams is being hired by the Commanders to take over the same position.

Williams began his coaching career with the Saints back in 2019, where he served as an offensive assistant through 2023. The following season, he was hired by the Falcons as the assistant quarterbacks coach and was promoted to quarterbacks coach in 2025.

With the departure of Raheem Morris, it should be expected that most of the Falcons staff will be headed elsewhere, especially on the offensive side, which really struggled to put up points consistently throughout the season. Michael Penix Jr. and whoever else Atlanta decides to bring in will now have a whole new group of voices in the room.
