The Arizona Cardinals found themselves down 30-26 late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Kyler Murray had to lead his team to do the (near) impossible.
Despite the odds stacked against them, Murray and stud pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins were undeterred. With just 11 seconds left and the ball at Buffalo’s 43, Murray scrambled to buy time. Hopkins ran down field toward the end zone. The culmination of this play ( and the game) has to be seen to be believed.

Yes, that’s Hopkins coming down with the ball in between three Bills defenders for the win. What an absolutely amazing catch. Equally as important, Murray bought time while scrambling to his left. He also threw a strike more than 43 yards down the field.
On the other hand, what was Buffalo’s defense doing here? Just bat the ball down and the game is over.
By virtue of this shocking win, Arizona moves to 6-3 on the season and is in a first-place tie with the Seahawks and Rams in the NFC West. Buffalo drops to 7-3 and is just a game ahead of Miami in the AFC East. Talk about a season-defining play for both teams.
Twitter had its reactions, too. Some of the reactions included the Houston Texans’ decision to trade DeAndre Hopkins in the first place last spring.
Bills traded for Stefon Diggs.

Cardinals trades for DeAndre Hopkins.
Both moves and players shined today.
Hopkins made the last and best play of the game.

I’m not suggesting we need to play the game of “who deserves more credit,” but for all the magic of Hopkins’ catch, Kyler literally escaped pressure and tossed a dime on the run in the very spot Hopkins was waiting to make the jump ball. Just an incredible play on both ends.

Bill O'Brien traded DeAndre Hopkins for a washed RB. He should never get another job again.

Everyone in the world knew Hopkins was the best receiver in football and Houston traded him away for a ham sandwich. Just in case you were wondering whether NFL coaches and execs are actually as smart as they like to act.

The Texans should have made DeAndre Hopkins coach and GM.
