If you're fighting for a playoff spot in your fantasy football league, you can't afford to have any duds in your lineup. Luckily, we're here to help with five players who could flop in NFL Week 12.
It might be time to cut ties with McCarthy in fantasy. The second-year quarterback continues to miss open receivers and make poor decisions in the pocket. He's thrown five interceptions in his last three games and is coming off a 6.0-point performance against the Chicago Bears last week. Now he has to go up against a strong Packers defense that leads the NFL in yards allowed per pass (6.0) and ranks eighth in fantasy points allowed to QBs.
Jeanty is struggling to find running room behind this atrocious offensive line. The rookie running back recorded only seven rushing yards on six carries against the Dallas Cowboys last week, giving him two single-digit fantasy performances in his last four games. It's hard to imagine this offensive line bouncing back against Cleveland's ferocious defensive line. The Browns rank third in the NFL in rushing touchdowns allowed per game (0.5) and fifth in fantasy points allowed to RBs.
Brown has had his fair share of flops this season, and he's in danger of putting up another dud in Week 12. The star wide receiver has struggled to get involved in Philadelphia's offense against zone coverage, a defensive scheme the Cowboys love to run. Dallas ran a high percentage of zone coverage in Week 1 and held Brown to just one catch for eight yards.

The Cowboys ran zone coverage on 95% of the Eagles' dropbacks in Week 1.
Fantasy owners were excited about Shaheed joining a more functional offense, but the speedy wide receiver hasn't built a rapport with Sam Darnold just yet. Through two games with the Seahawks, Shaheed has just three catches on six targets for 30 yards. He's also played fewer than 50 percent of Seattle's offensive snaps since joining the team. Shaheed could be a star in this offense, but we need to see it first before trusting him with a starting spot.
Ferguson's time as an elite fantasy tight end might be over. Over the last three games, Ferguson has recorded only 13 targets, nine catches and 66 receiving yards. It will be tough for him to turn it around against an athletic, speedy Eagles defense. Philadelphia, led by linebackers Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean, is giving up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year.
