On Sunday morning, the NFL wraps up its 2025 London games with a showdown between the Los Angeles Rams (4-2) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2). This is one of the more intriguing matchups of this week’s lineup.
The Rams are coming off a win against the Baltimore Ravens and will look to build on that momentum to extend their winning streak to two. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are aiming to bounce back after a loss and help them return to the form that helped them obtain three straight wins earlier this season.
The Rams will be without star wide receiver Puka Nacua, with veteran Davante Adams stepping into the starting position. Adams has proved he can deliver in big moments. Still, he will be tested by the Jaguars’ talented secondary of Greg Newsome II, Travis Hunter, and Buster Brown, and star cornerback Jourdan Lewis. Losing Nacua is a major blow to the Los Angeles offense, as he has been one of the league’s top wide receivers.
For Jacksonville, the absence of linebacker Devin Lloyd will put pressure on the rest of the defense to step up. He has been a key defensive player this season, and if the defensive front can’t fill that gap, it could open up opportunities for the Rams’ offense.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford has had a great first six games, throwing for 1,684 passing yards and 12 touchdowns with only two interceptions thrown.
On the other side, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is showcasing his dual-threat abilities. Through six games, he has had 1,324 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns, while adding 95 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, but he has thrown five interceptions.
Running back Travis Etienne Jr. continues to be a weapon for Jacksonville with 470 rushing yards and 69 passing yards.
The Jaguars’ offense will face a major test against the Rams’ defense, which ranks fourth in Pro Football Focus’ Week Seven grades. Bryon Young, Jared Verse, Nathan Landman, and Kamren Curl have been crucial to this defense’s strong start.
For the Jaguars, linebacker Devin Lloyd is out with a calf injury. Tight end Quintin Morris (groin) and Brenton Strange (quadriceps) have also been ruled out.
For the Rams, wide receiver Nacua (ankle), offensive tackle Rob Havenstein (ankle), and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (collarbone) have all been ruled out.
Fox Sports has Los Angeles favored by three points and the total matchup being over under 45.5 points. Both teams enter Sunday hungry for a win after traveling across the country.
This should be an extremely competitive matchup, as both teams have strong playmakers on both sides of the ball. Neither team will have a home-field advantage, and the unpredictable weather could make things more interesting.
The Rams vs. the Jaguars game should be a great, close matchup featuring two talented quarterbacks going head-to-head for one last NFL London matchup.
