Five biggest games on the Bears' 2024 NFL schedule
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

We are just days away from the NFL releasing the official schedules for all 32 teams for the upcoming 2024 season.

Currently, we only know two confirmed games, which will make the upcoming release on Wednesday even more exciting.

The Chicago Bears will be one of the most highly sought after teams to watch next season after overhauling their roster and bringing in a new starting quarterback in Caleb Williams. Ahead of the official release, here are the five biggest games that will be on the Bears' 2024 schedule.

At Texans

The first of many matchups to come between the two Heisman finalists in Williams and Houston Texans' quarterback CJ Stroud. The duel between the 2024 first overall pick and the 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year is set to bring some major fireworks and could even be the game that opens the season for the two franchises.

This game will feature an all star class of talent including a top wide receiver trio on both sides, along with each team deploying new running backs on the ground. Defensively, the Bears will rely on Montez Sweat and Jaylon Johnson while the Texans deploy their two rising stars in Will Anderson Jr. and Derek Stingley Jr.

What's there not to like about this matchup that could have shootout potential?

Vs Panthers

Although he won't admit it, this game will soon be immediately circled on wide receiver DJ Moore's calendar. After a underwhelming first game against his former team in 2023, Moore is looking to prove the Panthers wrong for shipping him to Chicago during a franchise-altering trade for both sides.

A trade that resulted in the Panthers acquiring Bryce Young with the Bears' first overall pick in 2023 and the Bears acquiring Williams with the Panthers' first overall pick in 2024. There's plenty of notes and history to go off of in this game.

At/Vs Packers (whichever comes first)

As with every season, the Bears vs. Packers matchup is set to be a much-watch affair but even more so this season. This time around, the new-look Bears are set to face the youngest team in the league who just reached the Divisional Round in 2023.

The first matchup between the two teams will surely be a primetime date featuring the new eras of the oldest rivalry in the game. Green Bay has dominated the Bears in recent memory and everyone in Chicago is looking to get back on the right side of history to kick the new era off with a bang.

At 49ers

The first overall pick facing the former Mr. Irrelevant, who has indeed made himself relevant, will be another high-scoring battle in San Francisco. The reigning NFC Champions will be set to host the playoff hopeful Bears in what will end up becoming the ultimate litmus test for Matt Eberflus' new squad.

If the Bears want to prove they are for real during the 2024 season, this will be the best opportunity to do so. This game will also feature some of the league's best talent with the 49ers deploying a dangerous group of skill players along with a high-flying defense at all 3 levels. This will be a good one, if the Bears are up for the challenge.

At London

The Bears will be playing in London for the first time since 2019 this season and where it falls on the schedule will be even more important that who the team plays. Based on the schedule, the team in question will more than likely be the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If that's the case, that will mean the Bears will be forfeiting one of their home games to travel to London, which has seemed like a home game for the Jaguars in the past. It's an unfortunate circumstance but international games are always exciting to watch and having the Bears playing overseas will be a treat to watch early in the day.
