Five players the Buffalo Bills should target in the 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., and it's a big one for the Bills after yet another close playoff loss derailed their Super Bowl dreams.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott has a great roster to work with and now he needs to add the best possible players to take his team to the next level.

At the top of the list of position needs: wide receiver and defensive line. Edge-rusher, safety and cornerback aren't far behind.

Selecting 28th overall, McDermott's team has a great chance to land an impact player on Day 1 and beyond.

Here are five players the Bills should target in this year's draft:

1. Mike Sainristil, CB

A nickelback for the Michigan Wolverines national championship team, Sainristil is as unique of a player as has been seen in college football in quite some time.

A team captain, Sainristil started his career as a wide receiver. He took those skills and transferred them to the secondary where he recorded six interceptions, 26 tackles and six passes defended last year.

Sainristil showed explosiveness with the ball in his hands, racking up 232 interception return yards and a pair of touchdowns. He's a great leader and playmaker who can ignite a locker room with his presence alone.

2. Brian Thomas, Jr., WR

Thomas had nearly 1,200 yards for Jayden Daniels and the LSU Tigers this past season opposite superstar Malik Nabers.

The Bills could use someone who wouldn't mind working opposite Stefon Diggs and can still produce at a high level. Thomas Jr. is that type of player.

3. Roman Wilson, WR

Wilson is the fastest player on Michigan's title-winning team, according to his teammates. He's also a confident player and outspoken leader who typically leads by example first.

Bills QB Josh Allen has that same mindset. Adding Wilson would give the Bills a sure-handed, hard-nosed receiver who can block and catch with equal skill.

He would be a steal in the third round, where he's now projected to be taken according to NFL.com. The Bills may have to snag him in the second round if his stock keeps rising.

4. Keon Coleman, WR

The Florida State star has the size and big-play ability to threaten defenses vertically next to Stefon Diggs and Dalton Kincaid in the passing game, assuming Diggs is not traded.

He's a high-risk, high-reward player who sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, but he blossomed at Florida State alongside star QB Jordan Travis.

Coleman must improve his consistency and production since he had just 50 catches last season, though 11 went for touchdowns.

5. Chris Braswell, EDGE

A 6-foot-3, 255-pound EDGE from Alabama, Braswell has the size, production and consistency to improve the Bills' defense.

He had eight sacks last season and could be available anywhere from the late first round to the early second round.

The Bills could take him with the 28th pick, or perhaps trade into the early second round if they think the value is worthwhile.
