Five Veterans that Miami Will Lean On In 2025

Heading into the 2025 off-season, the Dolphins are in a reset.

Many veterans from the first three years of the Mike McDaniel era are no longer with the team.

However, along with all the youth, there are still a few veterans who will help lead the way and try to help the team get back to the playoffs.

Defensively, there are three players at each level of the defense who should provide both leadership and strong play.

On the line, Zach Sieler is a mainstay.

Turning 30 years old at the start of the season, Sieler just gets better with age as he has recorded at least 52 tackles in his last four years and has 10 sacks over his last two seasons.

On a defensive line with many rookies, Sieler will be vital.

Behind him in the linebacking corps, Miami has Jordyn Brooks.

Brooks played at a high level in his first year in South Florida, and there is reason to believe that he will be even better in year two, potentially becoming an all-pro.

While there are tons of unproven players in the secondary, Miami added Minkah Fitzpatrick, and the eight-year veteran will bring playmaking ability that the team has not had in some time to the defensive backfield.

Offensively, the Dolphins have two strong veterans in Tyreek Hill and Aaron Brewer.

While Hill has to regain the locker room after last season’s finale, Hill has said and done all the right things this off-season, and if he can become the player that he was early in his tenure with the team, he will win back teammates.

Brewer should serve as the anchor of the Dolphins’ offensive line.

Along with his strong play from the pivot position, Brewer will be more comfortable in year two with the team as he looks to fill the void that other veterans on the offense left after last season.
