The College Football Playoff is currently underway. There are now eight teams left in the pool, with the quarterfinals on the horizon.
While teams like Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas prepare for the road ahead, they've also been working through the first transfer portal window, which runs from Dec. 9 to Dec. 28.
One of the most intriguing names that transferred out from a College Football Playoff team is former five-star quarterback Air Noland.
After one season with the Buckeyes, Noland decided to transfer from the program. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Upon announcing his transfer portal intentions from Ohio State, Nolan committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks, taking his talents to the Southeastern Conference.

Noland originally committed to the Buckeyes as a five-star prospect, ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 31 overall player in the class of 2024, per Rivals.
He was one of the most highly-touted prospects in the nation recruited by powerhouse programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Miami, and Texas A&M.
Noland was listed as the No. 10 quarterback and No. 81 overall transfer from the first window, per 247Sports.
As a high school prospect, Andrew Ivins, director of scouting for 247Sports, listed Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. as Noland's NFL comparison.
"A productive southpaw with a quicker release that can attack all different levels of the field," Ivins said. "Natural arm talent flashed multiple times during in-person evaluations as he has the pace to get balls out to the numbers and the touch to drop them in over coverage.... Should be viewed as a potential point guard for a College Football Playoff contender that can push the pace and get his playmakers involved. Likely going to need a developmental year or two, but has early-round NFL Draft upside, especially with his business-like mindset."
