One of the Big 12’s most dominant players of the last decade, Kansas State’s Felix Anudike-Uzomah, finally has the jersey number of his dreams.

Anudike-Uzomah, a former first-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, was given No. 97 as a rookie because one of his teammates occupied his college number of 91.

On Saturday, the former Wildcat announced that he officially switched back to No. 91 for his third professional football season.

In his three-year career in Manhattan, Anudike-Uzomah posted some incredible numbers. The Lee Summit native recorded 99 total tackles, 20.5 sacks, and eight forced fumbles throughout his career, and was awarded Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors for his stellar 2022 season.

King Felix made for an incredible draft day story with the Chiefs, as the hometown kid was selected in the first round by his hometown team, all while the draft was hosted in Kansas City.

In the pros, Anudike-Uzomah has seen inconsistent snap counts but took a major step forward in 2024, posting 27 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

As the Chiefs look to get revenge for their loss in Super Bowl X, Anudike-Uzomah is looking to return to his days as one of the nation’s premier pass rushers.
