GLENDALE – Some NFL news came out on Wednesday that former Arizona Cardinals linebacker Dennis Gardeck will be signing a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Dennis Gardeck appeared in seven games for the Cards last year before an unfortunate injury that was a torn ACL kept him out for the rest of the season. Before Gardeck’s untimely injury, he had three sacks six tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
Thank you for everything, @DGardeck

The “Barbarian”, or “Gardecky”, as some like to call him, has become a fan favorite over the years for this Arizona Cardinals team. Unfortunately after the signing of Josh Sweat and Baron Browning, and the return of BJ Ojulari, there wasn’t going to be a lot of room for him.
Gardeck was with the Cards for a total of seven years. During his tenure with Arizona, Gardeck made 156 tackles, recorded 17 sacks, and had two interceptions, along with seven passes defensed and 35 QB hits in his 96 appearances.
The undrafted defensive end from Sioux Falls was a guy who grew with Arizona and made the most of every opportunity he had. It will be hard to replicate the type of impact he had on the field, locker room, and the overall Arizona community.
