Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was arrested and charged in a fatal crash after he "called (Plano Police department and said he'd been involved in a crash," per WFAA.
According to the report, "Richardson police contacted Joseph (and) determined he was traveling northbound on U.S. 75 in a BMW sedan when he was involved in a collision with a motorcycle."
A 27-year old woman riding a motorcycle died in the accident.
Joseph "was arrested and charged with DWI and collision involving personal injury or death," per the report. No bond as been set so far.
In 2022, Joseph was involved in a murder investigation after admittedly being a passenger from which lethal shots were fired. He was ultimately cleared while two arrests were made related to the shooting.
Joseph was a second-round pick from the Cowboys in 2014 and his career in the NFL didn't pan out as he'd hoped. He started three games for the Cowboys in 2022 before being traded away. After brief stints with the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs, Joseph turned to the UFL where he competed with the D.C. Defenders.
