Former Dolphins QB Predicted to Sign With Steelers Amid Aaron Rodgers' Drama

The Miami Dolphins have made some very questionable decisions over the past few years, but not finding a backup quarterback continues to be at the top of that list.

When injury struck the Dolphins last year, they strangely went out and landed Tyler Huntley, who was on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.

Huntley, who threw for 829 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions for the Dolphins last season, wasn't what they needed. Perhaps it wasn't all of Huntley's fault, as Mike McDaniel completely changed the offense with him under center, but regardless, the plan didn't work out.

However, Huntley could still be useful to a different team around the league. Only 27 years old, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a team take a chance on him.

In a recent article from CBS Sports, they predicted that it’d be for the Pittsburgh Steelers if Aaron Rodgers doesn't sign with them.

“Believe it or not, Huntley has one more career Pro Bowl nod than fellow former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Huntley received that honor while replacing an injured Lamar Jackson during the final month of the 2022 season. Huntley, who had actually replaced Jackson for the same period of time at the end of the 2021 season, helped Baltimore secure a playoff berth in 2022 and played well in the team's loss to the Bengals in the wild-card round,” Brayn DeArdo wrote.

Throughout his career, Huntley has been named to a Pro Bowl Game and has helped the Baltimore Ravens in important games when Lamar Jackson was out. However, he isn’t a starting quarterback in the NFL.

At most, he can come in and fill the gap when a starter goes down.
