Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has landed a head coaching job at the college level.
According to college sports reporter David Teel, Vick has been hired as the next head coach of Norfolk State which is located in his homestate of Virginia.
The deal is done: Michael Vick is Norfolk State’s next head football coach. Would not be surprised if his staff has a #Hokies flavor. https://t.co/wEZDsqbxJM

The deal was finalized on Tuesday with Vick officially replacing Dawson Odums, who was fired after four seasons leading the Spartans to a 15-30 record.
Vick, 44, has never coached, but he does come with plenty of playing experience as a former first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.
“It would be an honor to be the head coach at one of the nation’s Top 20 HBCUs, especially home in the 757," Vick said earlier this week via his publicist before an offer was made. "And while I am truly grateful for the consideration, I am going through the interview process just like the other candidates. I have not signed any agreements.”
Vick spent 13 seasons in the NFL where he played for the Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Eagles. He finished his career throwing for 22,464 yards and 133 touchdowns, earned four Pro Bowl nods and was named Comeback Player of the Year in 2010.
