Former Eagles Super Bowl-winning coach Doug Pederson is back on the open job market

Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and head coach Doug Pederson is back on the open job market after he was fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday morning following a 4-13 regular season finish.

Pederson's time with the Jaguars comes to an end following an overall brutal 22-29 record in three seasons, including 18 losses over the last 23 games.

Before being named head coach of Jacksonville in 2022, Pederson was with the Eagles for five seasons where he accomplished the franchise's lone Super Bowl victory.

Pederson, 56, led the Eagles to three winning seasons where he compiled a record of 42-37-1, which featured a Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots in 2018. His unfortunate departure from the Birds in January of 2021 had a lot to do with Carson Wentz's regression at quarterback, and the Eagles finishing 4-11-1 and last in the NFC East during his final season in Philly.

Although Pederson has now crashed and burned in two different cities, it's hard to take away that he is still a great coach -- and one with a Super Bowl ring.

It will be interesting to see where Pederson goes from here, but it more than likely won't be Philly, since their coaching staff is in great shape.
