If we had to guess, fans of the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks aren't pleased with ESPN's coverage for Super Bowl LX.
During this Thursday's episode of "First Take," ESPN personalities Dan Orlovsky, Mina Kimes and Stephen A. Smith discussed the Dallas Cowboys' championship window with Dak Prescott. They held this debate during the second hour of the show.
"I actually believe that Dallas is starting a brand-new Super Bowl window," Orlovsky said. "I honestly do."
Former "NFL Live" host Trey Wingo was baffled by this discussion on "First Take." He found it a bit ridiculous that ESPN once again shined the spotlight on the Cowboys just days before the Super Bowl.
"We have two amazing young HC’s in the Super Bowl that both seem set up for long term success… so let’s instead talk about the only NFC team that hasn’t been the conference championship game in 30 years," Wingo said.
While the Patriots and Seahawks certainly deserve more attention from Smith and the rest of the "First Take" crew, ESPN knows just how valuable the Cowboys are when it comes to ratings.
Last week, Smith made it clear that he's picking the Seahawks to defeat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
“I’m sleeping on them, big time. Y’all ain’t winning the Super Bowl. I’m telling you to your face right there, as a New England Patriot — you ain’t winning the Super Bowl, OK. You ain’t beating Seattle,” Smith said, via NESN. “Right now, the New England Patriots — listen, it was a nice run. It was really, really nice. It’s going to be a competitive Super Bowl, I have no doubt, because the New England Patriots’ defense is real. I’ve got big-time questions about your offense."
Regardless of this weekend's result, Smith should be back on "First Take" this upcoming Monday to cover the Super Bowl.
