The Green Bay Packers have several former greats in consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2024 as the semifinalists list revealed on Wednesday.

There are 31 seniors in the running, with each having played his last game in professional football no later than the 1998 season.

Cecil Isbell is one semifinalist few people still living saw playing for the Packers. He passed away in 1985. He played tailback, defensive back, and halfback from 1938-1942. Of Isbell’s five playing years with the Green Bay Packers, he had four Pro Bowl appearances.

Former Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe made five Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro teams during his seven-year career with the Green Bay Packers cut short by injury. His 18 touchdown receptions in his final season are still good for third-best in league history behind Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.

Another former Packers receiver, Mark Clayton played just one season in the green and yellow. The five-time Pro-Bowler initially played 10 seasons with the Dolphins from 1983-1992. Like Sharpe, he is also tied for third for single-season touchdown receptions with 18.

Check out the complete list of former players in contention:

Ken Anderson, Ottis Anderson, Carl Banks, Maxie Baughan, Larry Brown, Mark Clayton, Charlie Conerly, Roger Craig, Henry Ellard, Randy Gradishar, Lester Hayes, Chris Hinton, Cecil Isbell, Joe Jacoby, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson, Mike Kenn, Bob Kuechenberg, George Kunz, Albert Lewis, Jim Marshall, Clay Matthews Jr., Steve McMichael, Eddie Meador, Stanley Morgan, Tommy Nobis, Art Powell, Sterling Sharpe, Steve Tasker, Otis Taylor, Everson Walls and Al Wistert.

Robert Craft, Tom Coughlin listed among coach/contributor semifinalists

The Pro Football Hall of Fame revealed its list of semifinalists for the coach/contributor category for the Class of 2024 on Wednesday.

A 12-person committee took the list down to 29 top candidates, although the typical limit is 25 unless there are ties.

The Hall’s committee will now move on to reduce the field to just 12 finalists. Finalists will learn their fates before the end of the month when the committee releases the list on July 27.

Among the 29 semifinalists are New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

As owner, chairman and CEO of the Patriots, Robert Kraft has won six Super Bowls while making 10. His tenure has seen the Patriots weather some of the league’s biggest controversies (SpyGate, Deflategate, etc.) but his impact on the game has been undeniable.

Tom Coughlin served as the first head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars before following in his mentor Bill Parcells’ footsteps with the New York Giants. He won one Super Bowl as an assistant coach and brought home two more as a head coach with the Giants.

Also among the list of 29 semifinalists is Mike Shanahan who won two Super Bowls over 20 seasons coaching. He led the Raiders, Broncos and Redskins during his career.

Another big name on the list is former head coach Marty Schottenheimer, father of Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, as well as John McVay, grandfather of Rams head coach Sean McVay.
