Who's ready to go back in time a little bit? Let's go all the way back to the 2008 NFL Draft. Fast forward past the Gosder Cherilus in the first round and go to pick 45 in the second round. The Lions took Colorado linebacker Jordon Dizon with the pick.
Dizon's time in Detroit did not go too well. He had to deal with coaching changes and defensive scheme changes that had him changing positions. Then, a knee injury essentially ended his career.
After football, he got into the scouting world and spent eight years as the Denver Broncos' assistant pro scouting director before taking the National Scout job with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Now he's heading back to Denver to take on the Director of Pro Scouting job.

That's a big promotion for Dizon, and that job title might be somewhat familiar to Lions fans. That's the same title former Lions GM Bob Quinn held with the New England Patriots before taking the Lions job.
Dizon has been getting his name out there for a while now, and a promotion like this could soon have Dizon seeing some interviews for general manager openings. It wouldn't be a shock if he started getting them during the next cycle.
