Former LSU star blames fellow alumni and current ESPN analyst for tearing Ed Orgeron's locker room apart

The LSU Tigers fell from grace unbelievably fast under former head coach Ed Orgeron despite producing one of the best college football teams of all time. Orgeron led a historically good 2019 LSU roster that featured some of the most recognizable NFL stars of this era. Despite going 15-0, Orgeron was let go only two seasons later, and he's been out of the sport since the end of 2021.

While multiple factors played into why Orgeron was fired, including a combined 11-11 record in 2020 and 2021, the locker room vibes post-National Championship were an issue. Former LSU defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko was on " Jacques Talk" with WAFB's Jacques Doucet this week and shared some insight into the issues surrounding the 2020 Football team.

Fehoko went so far as to blame fellow former LSU star and ESPN personality and hot take artist Ryan Clark for some of the division.

LSU starter blames Ryan Clark for division in Ed Orgeron's locker room

In the clip below, Fehoko talked about former Tiger Ryan Clark speaking to the team in 2020, which he said "hurt the team more than helped it."

"I feel like he turned a lot of those guys against Coach O on the words he shared in that building...In 2020, what RC did when he came into that building, tore apart the team more than people know."

Orgeron has been showing interest in the Oregon State opening, and his recruiting pedigree and 58.8% win rate should be attractive to the Beavers. He's a passionate coach with a Coach of the Year Award for good reason. While he's not a schematic savant or someone who can run a high-level program without great guardrails, he's likable and can clearly catch lightning in a bottle.

With five straight winning seasons between his 2013 stint with USC and subsequent time at LSU, Orgeron deserves one more shot at being the top dog. Going back to a high-end school like LSU doesn't make sense, but Orgeron could be great for a mid-tier program needing some energy.
