Former NFL coach Jon Gruden has a new job. The 61-year-old has been an advisor for the Milano Seamen in the European League of Football since March.

Gruden was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 1998-2001. The Raiders traded Gruden to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the 2002 season. The Sandusky, Ohio native would win Super Bowl 37 with the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay fired Gruden at the end of the 2008 season.

Gruden served as an analyst for ESPN from 2009 until he left to become the head coach of the Raiders in 2018--his second stint in that role with the team.

Gruden resigned in the middle of the 2021 season after numerous emails from an NFL investigation into the Washington Football Team were leaked to the New York Times. Many of the emails in the NYT report from Gruden had racist, homophobic and misogynistic terms.

Gruden returned to the league briefly in 2023 as a consultant for the New Orleans Saints. The University of Dayton graduate recently said he wants to return to coaching.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gruden is taking a new job and returning to the media world. He will join Barstool Sports.

"Former Buccaneers and Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has signed a multi-year deal with Barstool Sports," Schefter posted on X.

Gruden is 117-112 as a head coach in the NFL. He has a 5-4 record in the postseason.

Gruden first became a coach as a graduate assistant for the Tennessee Volunteers in 1986. His first coaching job in the NFL was as an offensive assistant for the San Francisco 49ers in 1990.
