Former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is going to be busy over the next week.

He interviewed for the Chicago Bears head-coaching position on Thursday and is set to interview with the Las Vegas Raiders next week, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Carroll didn't coach this year but appears ready for a new opportunity after he was moved upstairs by the Seahawks at the end of the 2023 season. They made him an advisor and hired Mike Macdonald as their new head coach for the 2024 season.

Carroll was with the Seahawks for 14 seasons and had a lot of success, helping the Seahawks win Super Bowl XLVIII over the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks blitzed the Broncos to open the game and never let up in a 43-8 win.

They tried to go for the repeat in the next season but lost to the New England Patriots in the final seconds after getting the ball to the one-yard line. Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler intercepted quarterback Russell Wilson with almost no time left to clinch the title for the Patriots.

Carroll went on to coach the Seahawks for the next nine seasons, finishing with a 137-89-1 record. He also went 10-9 in the playoffs with the Seahawks.

The Raiders are coming off another tough season, finishing with a 4-13 record. They fired first-year head coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday before letting go of general manager Tom Telesco on Thursday.

They're starting fresh with a new front office and head coach and the expectation is that Tom Brady will be heavily involved with both hires.

Once those hires are official, they'll look towards potentially getting a new quarterback for the 2025 season since they don't have a franchise quarterback on their roster right now.

They'll also look to upgrade other parts of their roster before the 2025 season starts in September.
