Former All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson can put at least one of his recent legal troubles behind him with Tuesday's news.
After several off-field missteps following an incredible NFL career, Peterson was reportedly able to reach a deal with Minnesota prosecutors for one of his 2025 DWI arrests, according to TMZ.
The 2012 MVP was arrested just hours after being a special guest at a Vikings NFL Draft party and was pulled over going 83 MPH in a 55 MPH zone with a BAC level of .14 — almost two times the legal limit.
Per the Hollywood outlet, Peterson pled guilty to one count of driving while impaired and was sentenced to 90 days at the Hennepin County Adult Corrections Facility.
However, AD won't have to spend any time behind bars and will instead perform 32 hours of community service within 180 days as part of his probation agreement — along with required alcohol screening and attendance at a victim impact panel.
The remaining charges were dropped as well, but Peterson will have to avoid any more drug/alcohol-related driving infractions. Otherwise the penalties will be more steep in the future.
Peterson is also due back in court in Texas later this week for his October arrest where he was found asleep at the wheel with an unlawful handgun in his glove box.

In better Minnesota-related news, the Vikings were awarded a compensatory third-round pick in this year's draft to bring them to nine selections over the course of the three-day event.
The compensatory pick came as a result of Sam Darnold's departure to Seattle in free agency and is the second year in a row the Vikes have been given the league's first compensatory selection.
Here's a look at all nine picks the Vikings have in the 2026 NFL Draft as of Tuesday:
