New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees is reportedly returning to the broadcast booth.

After retiring from the NFL in 2021, Brees joined NBC as a broadcaster. Although he wanted to focus on the pros, he called Notre Dame football games for the network. That eventually led to him stepping down. Back in 2023, however, the future Hall of Famer told The Spun that he'd love to be a NFL broadcaster again at some point in the future.

"I love broadcasting NFL games," Brees said. "I feel like I would have a great skillset there. But it would have to fit the family dynamic right now. The reason I stepped away from NBC is because of the weekend travel schedule. I was just missing too much stuff. I want to max that out as much as I can. I’m glad I worked with the NBC group because I think they’re the best in the business. I think there will be opportunities available down the road if I choose to pursue it."

Well, that opportunity has arrived for Brees.

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, FOX has signed Brees to a multi-year deal. He'll be partnered up with play-by-play broadcaster Adam Amin.

What does this mean for Mark Sanchez?

Now that Brees is joining FOX, there are plenty of people asking about Mark Sanchez's future with the network. He has been sidelined since being arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Sanchez, who was stabbed during a physical altercation, was charged on the suspicion of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.

Considering Sanchez was partners with Amin, it's fair to say he's been replaced for now.
