Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is facing heat on and off the football field this season.
After a 2-0 start to the season, Arizona has dropped its past four games. Murray hasn't been bad by any means, completing 68.3% of his passes for 962 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. The issue, however, is that he's apparently not doing enough behind the scenes.
Former All-Pro offensive lineman and Super Bowl champion Andrew Whitworth questioned Murray's leadership skills on the latest episode of the "Fitz & Whit" podcast.
"Kyler Murray doesn't bring it. To me, it's not like I'm not a fan of the human being. On the football field, I don't see enough moments where he's the guy in people's ears, he's the guy leading the football team," Whitworth said.
Whitworth then brought up Emari Demercado's costly mistake in Week 5 and how Murray wasn't there to console his teammate.
"There are countless moments. I'm not bagging him as a football player, I'm bagging him as a leader. I just don't see the energy, I don't see the positivity, I don't see him as the driving force for why this team is going to do something special."

Murray missed last Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a foot injury. Backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett played well, throwing for 320 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
Since the Cardinals had Murray at practice this Wednesday, it's fair to say he's on track to suit up for Week 7. They'll certainly need him against the Green Bay Packers.
If the Cardinals want to make a run in the NFC West, they'll need to snap their losing streak this Sunday.
