Former Ohio State star Nick Bosa has had a great NFL career and is still piling up the sacks. The former Defensive Player of the Year took a political stand on Sunday night after the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in front of a national audience.

As 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was being interviewed by NBC, Bosa interrupted it by pointing to his ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. Bosa has not hid his political stand since he has been a pro and the timing is no coincidence.

After the game, Bosa was asked about the postgame antics and gave the expected answer from the setting it was in.

“I’m not going to talk too much about it, but I think it is an important time,” Bosa told reporters.

With Election Day set for Tuesday, Nov. 5, Bosa clearly gave an endorsement of presidential candidate Donald Trump. The video has been shared on social media for millions and millions of views. Bosa knew that the result would be exactly that.

In his sixth NFL season, Bosa is up to 4.5 sacks through eight games for the 49ers, who grabbed a much-needed win against Dallas. The timing of playing ‘America’s Team’ likely gathered even more viewers for the game.

Bosa has had three straight seasons of double-digit sacks and had a career-high 18.5 in 2022 when he won the Defensive Player of the Year.

At Ohio State, Bosa piled up 17.5 sacks in 30 games for the Buckeyes. It resulted in him being the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Bosa, like all of us, has a right to vote for who we think is best for the future of America. However, the postgame stunt may be one that doesn’t sit well with some people across the country.
