Mike Davis has called it a career.

Davis took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday to announce that he is retiring from the NFL after eight seasons.

"As I turn 31 today, I sit back and look on my NFL career and how thankful I am to be apart of a brotherhood," Davis wrote. "This game has allowed me to make a lot of friends and memories. I’m grateful for every organization in NFL. With that being said I’m retiring!"

Davis featured for a total of six teams during his eight-year run in the NFL. He was selected in the fourth round by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He took part in just two seasons with the 49ers, tallying 171 yards from scrimmage over 14 games played.

Davis first made a name for himself in the NFL during his two-season run with the Seattle Seahawks. He helped balance out the offense for Russell Wilson and company, logging 1,099 yards from scrimmage and five total touchdowns while in Seattle.

The next three years for Davis would be spent with the Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, and the Atlanta Falcons. His 2020 campaign in Carolina wound up being his most productive year in the league. The veteran running back posted career highs across the board in the season, from rushing yards (642) to receptions (59).

Davis went on to put pen to paper on a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Falcons in March 2021. Atlanta released him in May 2022, but it did not take him long to find a new home in the NFL, as he signed with the Baltimore Ravens later in the month.

Davis did not have much to go his way during the 2022 season. He recorded 22 yards from scrimmage over eight games played in Baltimore. The Ravens released Davis in Dec. 2022.

Overall, Davis tallied 3,118 yards from scrimmage in 87 regular season contests played.
