Former President Joe Biden Attends Philadelphia Eagles Game

On a frigid Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, the atmosphere was freezing, but the sidelines were heating up. Former President Joe Biden and former First Lady Jill Biden touched down in South Philly, looking to witness a course correction for the Birds.

The Eagles, sitting at 8-5 and fresh off a rough stretch that included arguably the worst performance of Jalen Hurts’ career, welcomed the political heavyweights ahead of a crucial matchup against the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders.

Biden Demands Another Super Bowl Run

He might be a Delaware native, but Joe Biden knows exactly what the standard is in Philadelphia. In a clip posted to social media before kickoff, the former President didn’t mince words about his expectations.

“Go Birds, man, all the way,” Biden said, huddled against the cold. “Gotta win the Super Bowl again.”

It was a rare moment of unfiltered fandom from the former Commander-in-Chief. While he once diplomatically tweeted that he wasn’t “picking favorites” as president, his tenure as “Jill Biden’s husband” clearly comes with a green jersey requirement. “We got to get ‘em back moving, man,” he added, echoing the sentiments of every fan in the area.

The First Lady Brings the Philly Grit

Let’s be honest, though: we know who the real die-hard is in that relationship. Jill Biden has never been shy about her allegiance. She’s the one who wears her Eagles gear to fundraisers and talks about watching the Phillies with her dad.

While Joe might be there to shake hands with Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie, Jill is there because she bleeds green. She’s a “good Philly girl,” through and through, bringing that necessary grit to a team that desperately needs to find its identity again before the playoffs.

Celebrity Row Gets Crowded

The Bidens weren’t the only big names braving the elements. The Linc has become a bit of a hotspot for stars lately, and this snowy Sunday was no exception. Alongside the Secret Service detail, fans spotted Bradley Cooper and Angels superstar Mike Trout, a South Jersey native who never misses a chance to cheer on his squad.

But despite the Hollywood and MLB royalty, all eyes were on the Bidens. It’s not every day a former president shows up to watch you play a 2-11 team. For the Eagles, facing the struggling Raiders was supposed to be the perfect “get right” game. With the snow falling and political royalty watching from the suite, the pressure was on to snap the losing streak and prove that this team is still capable of the Super Bowl run Biden is asking for.
