With there being noise around former Las Vegas Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden getting back into coaching in the near future, the Super Bowl-winning head coach made an unexpected career announcement on Thursday that doesn't pertain to coaching.
While he may end up on the sidelines again somewhere down the line, Gruden was confirmed to have signed a multi-year contract with Barstool Sports by ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter. The report came after Barstool Sports posted a video of him teaching some employees about his iconic Spider-2-Y-banana play, with the video ending with the message "Welcome to Barstool Jon Gruden."

Gruden quoted the post with a simple yet very Gruden-Esq question writing, "You ready to learn some football?? @barstoolsports"
This isn't Gruden's first gig in the media as he was an analyst for "Monday Night Football" and also did NFL draft work with ESPN as well. His most recent stint with the Raiders ended after a league investigation revealed he used racist, misogynistic, and homophobic slurs in emails about the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, among others.
Gruden resigned after five games.
It's unclear if he still desires to get back into coaching, but fans will have a chance to see more Gruden content on one of the biggest media companies in the business.
