Former Rams All-Pro Exploring Trade Options

Jalen Ramsey, former Los Angeles Rams superstar cornerback, found a new home with the Miami Dolphins shortly after winning the Super Bowl with the Rams.

In his two seasons with the Dolphins he has been selected to the Pro Bowl once, with just one playoff appearance in 2023.

Injury seems to plague the Dolphins every year, specifically with Tua Tagovailoa and his multiple concussions, which hinders their potential success in the NFL.

The Dolphins and Ramsey have mutually agreed to part ways, and are exploring trade options heading into the offseason, with the hopes to get a trade prior to the season.

Ramsey is owed $25.1 million fully guaranteed in the 2025 season, which could make it more difficult to trade him, however, there are lots of teams that are able to spend that capital.

The former Rams All-Pro will seemingly have a say in the team he would like to be traded to, giving him the chance to go to a team that will compete.

Some of the competing teams, with the cap space to pay Ramsey, include the Lions, 49ers, Seahawks, Packers, and more.

If he is not looking to an immediate competing team, the Patriots still have $67 million in cap space remaining, and could be a fit for Ramsey if he likes the potential, although it is within Miami's division.

One of the best cornerbacks in the game of recent history, will be a hard one to say no to for teams looking to improve their secondary, even with an expensive price tag.

Ramsey immediately becomes the No. 1 cornerback in most rooms, and would be a massive help to any defense he chooses to pair up with.
