A former Los Angeles Rams defender is continuing his football career in a special way. He won't be suiting up in uniform anymore, but instead, he's going to coach for his high school alma mater.

Former Rams CB Troy Hill retires for great reason

According to Cameron DaSilva, former Rams defensive back Troy Hill is the new head football coach at St. Bonaventure's high school.

Hill’s best season in the NFL was with the Rams in 2020. He started all sixteen games in 2020, totaling a career-high 77 total tackles, 10 pass breakups, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. Hill also led the league in defensive touchdowns with three. He quickly became a fan favorite for a short while on the defensive side.

“St. Bonaventure gave me the discipline, support, and faith to believe in something bigger than myself. I’m excited to give back by helping shape the next generation-not just as athletes, but as young men of character.”

Hill finished his pro career last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played in 121 career games with five different squads around the league. Hill spent time with the Rams twice in his career, from 2016-2020 and then again in 2022.

Hopefully, he can continue a successful football life by leading his former high school to plenty of wins and success. Rams fans will certainly be rooting for Hill during his future endeavors.
