Former Rams Wide Receiver Signs With Jets
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

The New York Jets have completely overhauled their roster, with many top players not returning next season.

Notable departures include Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, Solomon Thomas, Hasson Reddick, and D.J. Reed, underscoring the organization's rebuilding phase.

In free agency, the Jets have made significant moves to reshape the team. They brought in Justin Fields as their new quarterback and added offensive linemen to bolster protection—a critical step toward success.

The team also signed former Los Angeles Rams receiver Tyler Johnson to provide another option for Fields.

Last season, Johnson primarily served as a depth player, appearing in 15 games and recording 26 receptions for 291 yards and one touchdown.

When given the opportunity, he proved to be a productive playmaker and could become a valuable asset in an evolving offensive core.

With Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Xavier Gibson already on the roster, Johnson will need to outperform Gibson over the coming months to secure the wide receiver three role. Still, his addition bolsters what is shaping up to be a dynamic offensive unit.

If the Jets can find their rhythm, this offense could become deep and balanced. With Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Fields in the backfield creating opportunities for creative plays, alongside dynamic wide receivers and the recent addition of tight end Stone Smartt—who had a solid year with the Chargers—the Jets appear primed to bounce back from last season's disappointing results.

With their aggressive offseason signings and the potential for impactful draft day additions, the Jets are positioning themselves to build a roster that could deliver a much-needed turnaround this season.
