The New Orleans Saints have had a fair share of productive pass catchers over the past couple of decades. Some of them have fared better than others when they left New Orleans.
Wide receiver Marquez Callaway signed with the Denver Broncos in August, but he never played for them. After that, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad. On Tuesday, the raiders announced that Callaway was being released from their PS.
#Raiders roster moves:

- Signed #30 CB Cornell Armstrong to the practice squad
- Released CB Rejzohn Wright and WR Marquez Callaway from the practice squad
Callaway was the Saints' leading receiver in 2021. Yes, you read that correctly.
Callaway totaled 46 receptions (on 84 targets!) for 698 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2021. During that season, he averaged 15.2 yards per reception and played in all 17 regular season games.
That was easily Callaway's most productive NFL season. It will be interesting to see if he gets another shot to make a roster elsewhere after his release from the Raiders.
