Plaxico Burress helped the New York Giants make history in 2007, catching the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLII and ending the perfect season for the New England Patriots.
Now, a fan with five or six figures to spare will get the chance to share in the historic moment.
Burress is auctioning off his ring from Super Bowl XLII, which is listed by Heritage Auctions with a top bid of $72,500 at press time. The site noted that the ring is the authentic one presented to Burress by the Giants and not a duplicate.
"I received this actual ring as a member of the New York Giants who won Super Bowl XLII held February 3, 2008 against the New England Patriots in Phoenix, AZ. I further certify this ring is the one and only ring and that no duplicate copies were produced," Burress wrote in a letter accompanying the ring.

Heritage Auctions added that the ring has some other features honoring the team's run to history.
"The gorgeous monochromatic design is unlike any other Championship ring we've ever seen, crafted entirely from white gold and genuine diamonds," the site noted. "Three Lombardi Trophies, representing each Super Bowl victory for the franchise, adorn the face along with the team's 'NY' logo and the words 'World Champions' in raised text."
The ring is also engraved with the final score of the Super Bowl and one of the more unusual accomplishments for the Giants that season, the team's 11 straight wins on the road.
Burress' Super Bowl ring has a listed value of $100,000.
